Cauliflower isn't the easiest vegetable to grow but once it starts producing those delicious cauliflower heads all that time and effort seems worthwhile. If you sow your seeds according to the months on the package instructions and the seeds are viable and not out of date then you  are proceeding in the right direction

Cauliflower germination can take anywhere between 8 to 14 days so you need to be patient. As seedlings grow they will need to be transplanted into larger pots as not to become rootbound. Cauliflower plants should be receiving about 6 hours of full sunlight but can also withstand partial shade.

Cauliflower plants should be planted 18 inches apart, that's 1.5 feet and a
depth of 12-15 inches, these plants can be grown in all sorts of different types of containers including a raised planter box or any other container that can hold soil.

As can be seen in this image  I built this planter box myself with some old pallets I had lying around. I used the plastic bags the soil came with and stapled them to the inside of the box while giving it a light coat of varnish on the outside.

Cauliflower grows well in nutrient-rich compost with moist, well-drained soil and a pH of 6 to 7. Harvesting can take anywhere between  2 to 3 months and if the weather is consistent and not erratic, you should have a decent crop.
